The Making of a Widow
Debuted on First Friday, 12/7/12, at Frank's Kitchens in Philadelphia.
The announcement read:
For the past year, I've been shooting an artist's collective known as Frank's Kitchens. What started innocently as a desire to document the build process for the Kensington Kinetic Sculpture Derby has taken me deeper in to Kensington than I would have imagined. And much farther: this intrepid community of sculptors, metal workers, musicians, dancers, and lord only knows what else invited me to the Burning Man festival with them this year, where they set up a mini-golf course in the middle of the Nevada desert.
On December 7th, I'll have a one-day show at Frank's Kitchens showing the works I've created from this unexpected journey. Expect to see hand-made prints using gum arabic, milk protein, silver, palladium, and even the playa dust from this year's Burning Man festival.
